Hi!

For a longer time HP support softwares aren't able to refresh my BIOS to newest version to 1.13. I got an error message I haven't enough space for this. What is this?

I have Windows 10 22H2, it seems it's not compatible with BIOS 1.13.

Hi @Mydgard

Resolved !

I had the same issue on my ZBook 15 G8 - It failed to update the BIOS to ver. 1.13.01 either direct run from within Windows 10 or by writing to a USB (failed to write the files to the USB).

I then ran ver. 1.12.0 (the same version that was installed) and it ran just fine.

I also noticed that while running the sp file for ver. 1.13.01 there was no requirement at all for inserting the BIOS password.

Instructions for the BIOS update as I performed successfully:

====================================================

1. extract the sp files of both ver. 1.13.01 and ver. 1.12.0 to separated  folders

2. copy all the application (*.exe) and application-extension (*.DLL) files from the ver. 1.12.0 folder to the ver. 1.13.01 folder

3. run the file HpFirmwareUpdRec64.exe and follow the instructions to update the BIOS

It ran smoothly and successfully  updated the BIOS.

HP -

1. You should check the executable files and fix them!

2. I opened a support case which is still open but no one responded so far!

Hi!

Here is a newer BIOS update ver 1.14 and HP Support Assistant still not able to refresh my BIOS for one year. I get an error message "Not enough disk space". Earlier I didn't get such a messege when I refreshed my BIOS. If this apllication is not able to do his job, how can I refresh my BIOS with another method?
