Hi,so my pavilion g4 1213tx amd card is not working properly.... So,my amd radeon hd 6470m which is onboard is faulty (maybe) when i install the driver for it on windows 7 64bit (i upgraded to 4gb of ram) the device somehow install it to my intel hd 3000 (weird) instead of install it for the amd radeon hd 6470m????.
On windows 8.1 it needs some trail and erorr(s) to get it working....BUT it always took few attemps to get out the black screen (hard reset) sometimes it takes 8 hard reset to get out the black screen. So if i want to use my laptop properly then i need to disable the graphics card from "device manager" for it to work properly and only use intel hd 3000.Now when i try to enable it the device manager did not show up the amd radeon hd 6470m even tho i just only disables it. If anyone has a method then please tell me. Many thanks.

@puggie229 Due to the current global COVID-19 situation, we're seeing an influx of customers coming in for support and we appreciate your patience.
That said, To confirm if indeed the hardware is faulty or if this is merely a driver/software glitch, I suggest we perform an extensive test on the device using the below steps:
Install the latest version of the HP Hardware diagnostics (UEFI) on your device using this link: Click here for details
- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.
- Click Extensive Test.
- Click Run once, or Loop until error.
- While the test is running, the time remaining and test result for each component display on the screen.
- If a component fails a test, write down the failure ID (24-digit code) for when you respond back to us.
P.S: Welcome to HP Community 😉
