I've got a recovery drive on my laptop which is around 3years old. I was wondering if there is any way to format my machine with any latest recovery file that would be available on cloud so that I need not put my machine into a 3years old factory state.
This way I can be in a relatively newer version of my machine and also get a clean factory reset.
Kindly assist.
Thanks.

Hi:
Unfortunately, that would not be possible.
While there is a recovery image you can create with the HP cloud recovery tool for your notebook, it is probably just as old as the one you have now.

If you ever have to replace the drive or recover your PC, after that process has completed, simply click on the blue Update Now button at the link below to get the latest available build of W10 and then you can do the updates from there.
