HP Laptop PC 15s-fq2000 (2D119AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

After a repair by HP my laptop was returned in the initial situation like the very first time. I had to select a few things and prepare / install Windows 11. No problem: rather quick installation.

The result was strange. The language used by the system is half Dutch / half English. Maybe due to an error by me?

Is it possible to recreate that initial situation.

[ The first question on the blue screen was about my location. ]

Hi:

Your notebook may be supported by the HP cloud recovery tool which you can use to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall Windows, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility.  You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive to create the recovery media with.

You can download the software from the Microsoft Store.

Paul thanks for the quick response. I need some to prepare for these actions. Get an USB stick, learn how to change (?) the boot sequence etc.

I promise to report the result.

Paul,

as promised here my report: using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool from Microsoft Store worked perfect.

The reset to Factory Setttings produced as the first question: Do you want to use Dutch?

I did not see that question in the first installation!

Thanks.

Remarkebly I now have to get rid of McAfee. Is probably no problem.

Willem
