HP 15-ay516tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have a Radeon M430 graphics card installed in my laptop  (HP ay516tx) along with the usual Intel HD Graphics 520. I want to know whether I should download the graphics driver from the HP website or whether I should download them from the AMD and Intel Websites so that I can get maximum performance.

Help is appreciated.

Hello 22shadesofblack,

HP, HPHP.

It's best to stick with the OEM drivers as the Intel/AMD drivers may not even install on the system. OEM drivers are customized to work best on the device. The only times you may want to opt for Intel/AMD drivers is when HP's drivers have become extremely outdated/unstable.

Hope this helps,

Eddy

Hi, Eddy

Thank you so much! I had been plagued by this dilemma for a long time. I also always wondered why the AMD drivers from the AMD website would show wrong information about my card.

Thank you very much once again.
