Buongiorno, 

sono nuovo della community, chiedo una mano.

Ho un PC un po' datato per programmi azienda, mi serve sostituire la scheda video.

Ho provato ad inserire una da 2gb AMD, ma non riesco ad installarla, poiché mi compare lo schermo nero.

Mi hanno consigliato di aggiornare il BIOS, ma non riesco a trovare aggiornamenti.

BIOS FOXCONN 2ABF AMI 7.14 DEL 21/10/2011.

Qualcuno di voi potrebbe aiutarmi a trovare qualche aggiornamento?

Good morning:

 

Please see this related discussion where I have posted the link to a newer BIOS update:

It is unlikely that updating the BIOS would help if you installed a graphics card that was released to market in 2013 or later.

 

Your old PC needs an old graphics card.


Nothing newer than a Nvidia GT 6xx series or AMD Radeon HD 6xxx series.

 OK QUINDI NON CONVIENE AGGIORNARE IL BIOS, CONVIENE PRENDERE UNA SCHEDA VIDEO PIÙ VECCHIA!

SUPPORTA ANCHE UNA SCHEDA 4GB?

Yes, you can't get a newer card than a Nvidia GT 6xx (such as the GT 630) or an AMD Radeon HD6xxx (such as the HD6570).

 

If you can find a legacy graphics card that offers 4 GB of video memory, that would be fine.

 

It's the model series of the card that is important.

4 GB of graphics memory would be better than 2 GB.

 

I haven't seen a 4 GB GT 640 graphics card.

 

I've only seen the 2 GB models available.

The GT 630 would probably be easier to find and cost a little less, but the GT 640 is a little bit more powerful.
