Hello,
We just purchased a new HP Spectre x360 Convertible (X5P15AV) this past September and installed Windows 10 64-Bit Enterprise edition. In the Device Manager under sensors, there are 4 entries: “HID Sensor Collection V2 Drivers” with a yellow triangle and the error "This device cannot start. (Code 10)”. Nothing I seem to try gets rid of this error message, and I’ve noticed some strange behavior.
The computer seems to run mostly normal. However, there seem to be some hiccups when changing in and out of tablet mode. When I move the screen back, it will change to tablet mode, but it will not rotate to portrait mode. It also does not always seem to be completely responsive when switching between these modes at times.
Here are the steps I’ve tried to resolve these issues:
-Updated bios to version F.20 Rev.A
-Windows update.
-Installed HP Support Assistant, installed all recommended drivers.
-Uninstalled drivers in questions, restarted computer.
-Installed all drivers under “Chipset” section on the HP product support page.
-Performed a complete reinstall of Windows, then followed all of the above steps again.
I’d greatly appreciate any help on this issue. Thank you!

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to assist.
I understand that you have an HP Spectre x360 - 15t-bl000. I read that the laptop is facing trouble when changing in and out of tablet mode. The screen will not rotate to portrait mode. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.
I recommend you to update the following drivers on the laptop.
NOTE: Please skip any drivers that were already updated by you.
-
Intel Serial IO Driver. Please restart the laptop after this update.
-
HP UHD Touchscreen Controller Firmware Update. You may once again restart the laptop after updating this driver.
I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Let me know how it goes. Good luck! 🙂

Hello MKazi,
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, the links you provided did not resolve the issue. I already had the intel I/O drivers installed, and the firmware update installed successfully.
After restarting the computer and installing the firmware update, I did notice that one of the 4 "HID Sensor Collection V2 Drivers" in the device manager became "an "Unknown Device" without any exclaimation point. The unknown device says "This device is working properly" in the properties, while the 3 other HID sensor drivers still display a code 10 cannot start.
Also, I wanted to note if I pull up the hardware ID for any of these devices I see the following:
HID\Vid_8087&Pid_0AC3
HID\VID_8087&UP:0020_U:0001
HID_DEVICE_UP:0020_U:0001
HID_DEVICE
Here are the issues I'm experiencing at this point:
-In the device manager, 3 devices are displaying as a "HID Sensor Collection V2" with a code 10 error
-In the device manager, 1 device is displaying as an "Unknown Device" with no error
-The laptop screen will not rotate to portrait mode. (Can you verify whether or not this is a feature?)
-A new issue I'm noticing: after rotating to tablet mode, then exiting tablet mode, the touchpad becomes very erratic. It will track my cursor fine as long as I move my figner continuously. Once I take my finger off, wait a few seconds, then try to move the cursor, it won't respond for a few seconds. This issue only seems to occur after going in and out of tablet mode, it doesn't seem to occur if I just restarted the computer.
I look forward to hearing from you to help resolve this issue.

Hello,
I just received an update on this issue. In addition the previously mentioned issues, it seems like programs will close when the computer goes to sleep.
Furthermore, the computer does not seem remember external dispalays that iti s connected to when it wakes from sleep. External displays need to be reconnected manually in the display settings each time the computer wakes up.
