HID-compliant touch screen driver is missing. Unable to use screen touch.

Try these steps:

Check Device Manager

  1. Open Device Manager:
    • Press Windows Key + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Find HID-Compliant Touch Screen:
    • Expand the Human Interface Devices section.
    • Check if the HID-compliant touch screen driver is listed. If it is missing, proceed to the next steps.

Update or Reinstall Driver

  1. Update Driver:
    • Right-click on any listed HID device and select Update Driver.
    • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
  2. Reinstall Driver:
    • If updating doesn't work, right-click and select Uninstall device.
    • Restart your laptop to allow Windows to reinstall the driver automatically.

Run Windows Update

  1. Check for Updates:
    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
    • Click Check for updates and install any available updates. This may include the necessary touch screen drivers.

HP Support Assistant

  1. Download HP Support Assistant:
  2. Install and Run HP Support Assistant:
    • Launch HP Support Assistant and let it detect and install any missing drivers or updates for your device.

Download Driver from HP Website

  1. Visit HP Support Website:
  2. Enter Device Information:
    • Enter your laptop's model number (HP Pavilion x360 - 14-ba075tx).
  3. Find and Download Drivers:
    • Locate the drivers section and download the latest touch screen driver if available.

Enable Touch Screen in BIOS

  1. Access BIOS:
    • Restart your laptop and press F10 during startup to enter BIOS setup.
  2. Check Touch Screen Settings:
    • Navigate to the System Configuration section and ensure the touch screen is enabled.
    • Save changes and exit BIOS.
