Hi @Snthirdki

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

No worries! I can guide you step by step. If you just want to type up a document on your laptop, you have several easy options even if you’re not very computer savvy.

A: Use Microsoft Word

  1. Search for Word:
    • Press the Windows key (bottom-left corner of your keyboard).
    • Type Word in the search box.
    • Click on Microsoft Word when it appears.

  2. Create a new document:
    • When Word opens, click Blank document.
    • You can now start typing.

  3. Save your document:
    • Click File → Save As
    • Choose where to save it (Desktop or Documents folder)
    • Give it a name → Click Save

B: Use WordPad

  1. Press the Windows key → type WordPad → press Enter.
  2. A simple typing window will open.
  3. Type your text.
  4. Save it: File → Save As → pick a location and name.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
