HP 14-d003tx
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

I changed my OS from Windows 7 to now Windows 8.1 32 bit.

I am  confident now that  the HP support will have drivers for the model since the laptop is originally meant for Windows 8.

But when I looked it up on the site: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-14-d000-Notebook-PC-series/6529958/model/6753958

It is only showing drivers for Windows 8.1 64 bit!

Will it still work if I used the 64 bit one while my OS is actually a 32 bit one??

I need help guys, please do enlighten me.

Hi:

HP does not support that model for 32 bit operating systems.

I think most of the 64 bit drivers listed will work except the graphics and audio.

You can see if these graphics and audio drivers work.

If not, you will need to install a supported 64 bit operating system.

First install the intel chipset installation utility and restart the PC.  The 2nd driver on the left side of the page is the auto install file.

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/20775/Intel-Chipset-Device-Software-INF-Update-Utility-?pr...

Then install the Intel HD graphics driver and restart the PC.

This package provides the Intel video drivers, Control Panel, and display audio driver for supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp69501-70000/sp69998.exe

Then install the nvidia hd graphics driver and restart the PC.

Audio:  Accept the agreement.  Download and install the 1st driver on the list.

Thanks for that quick response Paul!

But it seems that this link does not let me download the file. It completes the download and then it will sya network error. I have tried it on different internet connection speeds but it looks like it would not work. DO you have other links i can try.

So far I other links does work. Just the one driver I need so I can adjust the birghtness of the laptop as it is on full setting always and drains my battery. Audio does work too.

You're very welcome.

The graphics driver file downloads just fine for me, and I explored it and it is intact.

I have zipped up and uploaded the graphics driver file to my Skydrive folder, which I have shared the link below.

Download and unzip the file labeled sp69998.

Thanks Paul for the file.

I am able to download it this time. But when I tried installing it, it is telling me that my computer does not have the requirements to install it. I followed your steps and it is the Intel Gfx that I cannot install. Would it be possible to install other versions of it??

You're very welcome.

Sorry the driver didn't work.

Unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions for you to try.

Your notebook is only supported for 64 bit operating systems and I was hoping that driver from the business notebook would work.

You can try the driver directly from Intel, but you will probably get the same error.

Paul once again you helped me.

That last link you provided helped me. I explored it  bit and installed the "Intel Driver Update Utility".

And that found the intel grapichs driver for my laptop model me which is shown below:

I am now able to install this and solved my problem.

Kudos to you and to your team. I hope this helps other users as well.

You're very welcome.

That is great news that you beat the odds, and got the 32 bit operating system to work.
