Hi @Kuroi_Kenshi,

Thank you for your response.

My notebook details are:

  • Model: HP Laptop 15-fd0063TU
  • Product ID: A33FQPA#ACJ
  • Operating System: Windows 11 (64-bit)

I have already checked Device Manager, but the camera is still not detected/working. Could you please provide the correct camera driver or the appropriate driver package for this specific model?

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi @SAFEALISP91,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that your HP TrueVision FHD camera is not working and you're looking for the camera driver.

The HP TrueVision camera driver is model-specific, so there isn't a single driver that works for all HP 15 notebooks. Depending on your exact model, the camera may use an HP, Realtek, Chicony, SunplusIT, or Microsoft UVC driver.

Before downloading a driver, let's verify whether Windows detects the camera.

Check Device Manager

Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.

Expand cameras or imaging devices.

If the camera is not listed, click Action > Scan for hardware changes.

If the camera appears, right-click it and select Update driver > Search automatically for drivers.

Download the correct driver

Please visit the official HP Support website and enter your exact HP 15 model or product number.

Look under:

Driver – Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices

Driver – Multimedia

If a camera driver is available for your model, download and install it.

Could you please share the exact HP 15 model or product number (for example, HP 15-dyxxxx, HP 15-fdxxxx, etc.) and your Windows version? That will help identify the correct camera driver for your notebook.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

Best regards,

Kuroi_Kenshi

Hi,

Thank you for sharing your notebook details.

I checked the driver packages available for your HP Laptop 15-fd0063TU (Product ID: A33FQPA#ACJ).

For this model, HP does not provide a separate downloadable HP TrueVision FHD camera driver. The integrated camera uses the Microsoft USB Video Class (UVC) driver that is included with Windows, so you won't see a dedicated camera driver listed on the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.

Since the camera is not detected in Device Manager, the issue is likely related to device detection rather than a missing HP camera driver.

Please try the following:

Check Device Manager

  1. Press Windows + X and open Device Manager.
  2. Click View > Show hidden devices.
  3. Expand cameras, imaging devices, and Universal Serial Bus controllers.
  4. If the camera appears with a warning icon, right-click it and select Uninstall device, then restart the notebook.

Check the BIOS

  1. Restart the notebook and press F10 repeatedly to enter the BIOS setup utility.
  2. If your BIOS includes an integrated camera option, make sure it is enabled.
  3. Save any changes and restart.

Install the latest HP platform drivers

Although there is no dedicated camera driver, please ensure the following HP drivers are up to date:

Restart the notebook after installing any available updates.

If the camera is still missing from Device Manager, could you let me know the following:

  • Does the Cameras category appear at all in Device Manager?
  • Are there any unknown devices or devices with a yellow exclamation mark?

This information will help determine whether the issue is related to device detection or the camera hardware itself.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

Best regards,

Kuroi_Kenshi
