Good Morning,

For the past few months I have seen a window pop up during boot that "This app can't run on this PC" This failure concerns "HP Accelerometer"

The device is up to date with all ms software updates ,,,now v1709 (OS Build 16229.19. HP software is a different matter. As with most of our HP machines, Support Assistant refuses to install most of what is displayed in the program after running the app! At the time this pop up was recorded there were no updates available in Support Assistant.

Greetings @Stu2009

Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are getting an Accelerometer doesn't work on startup, is that right?

Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.

Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.

Request you download the softpaq from this link and install it on your computer.

This should resolve the issue you are facing.

Let me know if this helped.

Hi Chinney_83

Thank you for your help. Installed the software from your link...reboot and no error pop up. Now have HP 3D DriveGuard icon again in start tray. I wonder why HP Support Assistant would not give me the update, but then it has always been troublesome for me!

Thanks again

Stu

Good Morning again!

Just updated to win 10 Pro v 1709 (OS Build 16299.64)...Got the same error again after reboot to finalize the update from ms....same as posted at the thread starter. (‎10-22-2017 02:55 AM). So the fix was short lived!
