HP ENVY Laptop - 15-ep0025cl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The first thing I did when I got this laptop was reformat the hard drive. Upon realizing that I needed HP's proprietary software to control the fan speed, I installed hp command center (from the microsoft store) and the SDK from HP. HP command center still doesn't work or launch, any ideas? Thanks.

Hello,

I did the same, command center  open but don't do nathing, on windows 11. If select any plan, there's no difference. I did all updates from HP or windows update... I think this is a problem that afect a lot of people and HP don't give any solution. My laptop model is HP ENVY Laptop 15-ep1013np. I thins the problem is the sdk utility, but I don't know how to uninstall...  Probably could be any issue with the xtu service. I install from Intel, but doesn't work.

Hi@stnm12brX2, @Branco1st

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing HP Command Center issues with the HP ENVY Notebook.

I have a few recommendations

  • HP Command Center is a feature in HP ENVY Notebook that allows you to adjust the temperature and cooling preferences of your notebook by leveraging the hardware, software, and mechanical design of your system to keep you comfortable while using it.
  • Update your Notebook computer to latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Click this link for more details https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06063108
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • Try doing Reset PC Keep my files from windows and check if it works.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi,

Thanks for the answer.

I already updated the bios and  have all the drivers updated.

Just started having this problem after doing all the updates.

I didn't want to do a new reinstallation of windows. I can't always be doing this for every problem that I have.

I suspect it has something to do with the XTU service (which I can't install) or the SDK Package for HP Command Center (which  don't know how to uninstall).

Thanks,

Hi@Branco1st,

Thank you for responding, I appreciate your time and effort.

The HP Command Center might stop working after HP Application Enabling Services is updated. Try download and install the latest version of HP Command Center from the Microsoft Store.

Try these steps:

Search “Add or remove programs”

Find the Omen Command Centre and click it.

Don't uninstall it! Click the “Advanced options”

Scroll all the way down to the Reset Section.

Click “Repair”

Please feel free to contact us here anytime you need any further assistance.

Have a great day!

Thanks, but it didn't work...

Any more ideas?

Are you sure it has nothing to do with the XTU or SDK that I installed from the HP website? How can I uninstall?

Hi@Branco1st,

Thank you for responding, I appreciate your time and effort.

You can try uninstall from the Add or remove programs and then install the HP Command Center app from Microsoft Store.
