Just recently bought a new HP Envy 13 laptop (2017 Model). Unfortunately, I discovered HP CoolSense was not installed on the laptop and so I downloaded it from the HP website. However, it says the laptop is not compatible with the software (even though the production specification state it should have HP CoolSense).
Also, audio quality using earphones are poor. Any suggestions? B&O App disables the 'equaliser' when using earphones.

Your machine may not have Coolsense at all and the specs shows a mistake due to
HP CoolSense requires accelerometer and thermal control hardware only available on select computers.
As mentioned in
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c02638953
and your machine does not have accelerometer because it has 360 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD.
For the second question it works with internal speakers. It won't work with earphones UNLESS your headphones or earphones can communicate with it thru drivers.
Regards.

Thank you for your response. Although I now understand the requirements for HP CoolSense, HP needs to do a better job to provide accurate information on their products.
Hopefully, HP will work on the equaliser so that it may extend to earphones. Shame really, the laptop is good but just a few minor issues.
Once again, thank you for your help.
