I wanted to download drivers for my laptop, but I keep getting :
HP Customer Support site is temporarily unavailable.
For several days now. If it is discontinued how hard is it for a HUGE company like HP to keep drivers on there server?

It seems to me that HP has retired support for all PC's manufactured in 2008 or earlier because that message has been appearing for about a month now.
The only suggestion I can offer would be to use the drivers from this reputable 3rd party driver website that I have used for years.
HP Compaq 6730s drivers (driverscollection.com)
BTW...all the drivers are still on the HP FTP servers right down to the very first driver they published.
We just can't access them anymore.
HP removed permission to the FTP site around 2 years ago.

I wasted over an hour on a Chat session with Tech Support, and was told that the web page issue would be resolved shortly (in a couple of days). I knew that was CR@P!!!
Thank you for the response and link to the drivers.

You're very welcome, Nathan.
I don't understand why HP does this and it is very frustrating for those of us who still have our trusty old HP PC's around.
Dell has drivers for all their PC's going back to the 1990's.
Fortunately, that driver website has the drivers for most of the mainstream HP PC's going back quite a few years.

I told them that if they don't have a link for the drivers for that laptop, that WILL NOT buy another HP product ever again, and I am serious about it. I vote with my wallet, and I agree with you there is no reason for them not to leave access to the server.
