After installing windows 10 version 1709, the keyboard and touchpad stopped working. in the device manager there are errors number 10 and 19. The driver utility is not installed and gives an error that this program is not supported by this operating system. what to do?

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. I came across your post and would like to assist.
I understand that you have an HP ENVY 15 series notebook. I read that after installing windows 10 version 1709, the keyboard and touchpad stopped working. in the device manager, there are errors number 10 and 19. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.
To assist you better, I would like to know the exact laptop model no. This link will help you to find the model no: http://hp.care/2bygf7l
Meanwhile, I did some research on the error codes 10 and 19. Please look for "Detailed error code information" from this HP article.
I suggest you to download and run the HP Support Assistant program. This program will, search for the missing drivers and install them for you.
I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Let me know the outcome Cheers! 🙂

Glad to have you back. Thanks for the information.
I see that your HP ENVY 15-j012sr Notebook came with Win8 and looks like you upgraded to WIn10 later. Secondly, there are no Win10 compatible drivers available at the HP website.
Did you try to download and run the HP Support Assistant?
Also, please attempt the following steps:
- Open the device manager.
- Expand "Keyboards". Right click on the keyboard drivers in it and select uninstall.
- Expand "Mice and other pointing devices" and right click on the touchpad drivers in it and select uninstall.
- Close the device manager.
- Restart the laptop. While restarting, Win10 should install the drivers automatically.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted. Cheers! 🙂

Thank you for your responses!
I removed the device and rebooted the PC-result no: (HP support assistant also did not help anything. On windows 10 the computer from its very release and everything worked fine.
