I haven't been able to use the touchscreen. I did research and do not have "HID touchscreen" in the Device Manager. I have seen other threads and downloaded drivers (Intel Serial IO Driver, Chipset Driver), along with the BIOS which was listed in the HP Driver page.

There is also a warning icon on one of the two "I2C HID Device" and I'm not sure how to clean that up, or I'm doing it wrong. I uninstalled, downloaded other drivers, restart computer. The I2C HID Device came back upon restart but still had the warning icon.

I am on Windows 11 and have made sure that is updated as of this note.

I am not tech savvy but if anyone could help get this touchscreen working again it would be appreciated!!

Synaptics makes the hardware for the touch screen.

What is the product ID of your system?  There are a lot Envy X360 variations.

If the correct drive does not work then consider using a restore point (if any) what was created before the touch screen problem.  Windows usually makes a restore point on every major update.

I am not sure how to check if a restore point has been created (I would not have done this myself). I also don't recall when the touchscreen situation stopped, but it has been months if not over a year.

Any additional guidance is appreciated! I'm not sure next steps or what info to look for, let alone how!

You have cloud support, I suggest you get a copy before the laptop is out of warranty

There are several synaptics drivers listed here for windows 10x64.  Try the latest version x.54.  Should work for 11 also.

Good Luck!

So far no solution from that. I tried your link and downloaded the Synaptic driver. No fix. Not sure what else I can do to get it back!

Worst case - use the cloud recovery to do a factory restore.

Did you run the F2 diagnostics to see if the is an actual hardware probem?
