Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi All, first time here !

I want to use my HP laptop to run a Win XP software package (Intuit Quicken 1998 or 2003 versions).

The package currently runs on a (very) old Dell laptop which I think is in terminal decline.

I have heard that I could do this in VM mode (??) but do not have a clue where to start.

Is there an 'idiot's guide' or some very basic / explicit instructions that I can follow to try this out ?

Thanks

Hi:

Yes, there is something called XP mode for W7.

You need to be running W7 Pro, Ultimate or Enterprise.

You need to have virtualization enabled in the BIOS.

First download and install this software.

Then download and install XP mode...
