Hi

I've tried all your recommendations and still no result. I can't restart the computer on the battery only because it is at zero. It's a new battery that started at 62% and then ran down to zero. The last bit of run down was so quick that I wasn't able to stop it before it hit zero.

What can I do?

Thanks

Zane

Hi Zane,

I would recommend checking out this document: Battery Does Not Power Notebook or Hold a Charge. If you try everything that it covers and have no positive results, you may want to call support.

Thank you for posting on the HP Forums.

I have followed the suggestion: I unplug it, remove the battery, hold down start/turn-on button for 30 seconds, plug back in (without battery) and it briefly starts to turn on (for less than 1 second the light goes on at the start/turn-on button and I can hear the fan/drive briefly start) but then shuts down/off. Dead.
If I again hold down the start/turn-on button absolutely nothing happens.
Paradox...

Followed steps for solving this not; HP G62 icon shows: plugged in, not charging and everything seems to be

working correctly.  Was 73%, but now 83% and charging.

Thank you,

AJ
