Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm having difficulty getting the mic mute hotkey to work on this computer.  I'm installing a custom windows 10 image via MDT and installing the latest drivers and HP software (including HP Hotkey Support v. 6.2.50.1) using SSM.  All the other keys work, however there is a little delay before the screen brightness hotkeys start working on startup.  The mic mute (F8 key) will not work. I have to be missing something: i'm installing all available drivers and software exept of the items in Software-Securtiy category. The installed Firmware Pack is v 1.06.00.

I found that reinstalling the Audio drivers is required each time a new user is added to the system in order for the Mic Mute button to work.

Hi,

What is the notebook model?

Try reinstalling the audio driver.

Hope it helps,

David

I'm sorry, I thought I included the model: it is a n EliteBook x360 1040 G5.  Thanks for your suggestion, I'm giving it a try now.

Hello,

Isn't there a more suitable solution for corporate environments? End users not having admin rights need to call the helpdesk each time to reinstall the audio drivers is not a viable solution.

Thanks.

This is a task for the System Administrator. He/she should be able to update corporate laptops, workstations etc. by using the appropriate HP Client Management tools.
