You really don't need the update.
Your notebook already has the driver installed for the HP Application device.
This is what the update is for:
HP Application Enabling Software Driver
The HP Application Enabling Software Driver is a virtual driver that offers general custom capabilities utilized among HP applications after transferring to the Microsoft Store app with HSA architecture.
HP periodically sends updates to that driver to Microsoft, so if the update won't install this time, you can prevent it from showing up in Windows update by running the Microsoft Hide Windows Update utility that I zipped up and attached below.
Download, unzip and run the utility.
It should find the HP Inc. - Software Component - 1.68.3815.0 update that won't install.
Check the box to hide the update.
The utility will run again and report that the problem is 'Fixed.'
Restart the PC and go to the Windows update app again which will probably indicate that it 'Needs attention.'
Click on 'Retry' and the update should disappear and hopefully the next time HP releases an update to Windows update it will install.
