Focus on your hardware ID, because in some model of HP, the sensor's ID is ACPI/HP6000 and the newest version of this hardware was made in 6/11/2015 and it's no longer compatable with Windows 10 Creators Update. The newest version that made in 9/23/2016 is for ACPI/HP6007 and it's not compatible woth HP6007. So, our hardware is oudated and no longer supported?

I used winzip and everything has been taking care of by following the original instructions.

Not sure what you mean, but if it helps, the g sensor in my 8470w has hardware ID HPQ6000.  Drivers from Windows Update Catalog are good to go.

6.0.19.1 from 9-23-2016 is good to go on Elitebook 2570P with 10 64 creator update.  A lot of outdated driver are available as the most current in the 2570 page of HP support site. It is not as well supported as the new models.

Hi,

it worked for my 8570w.

But, the second Catalog's entry (Windows 10 and later drivers) of: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com

thanks

The second and the first are the same.

it means that, when you see a newest driver in Update Catalog, you should take a glance at the supported hardware ID by clicking the driver's title and select package detail tab. And the newest driver for HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor doesn't support the hardware ID which is not HP6000. Hope HP release a patch for this driver

Looking at the details for this driver in Device Manager, looks like Sept 2016 version of the driver you referred to got loaded on my computer at the same time as the Creator Update.  Is it possible that this version is not compatible with the laptop and I need to revert to an earlier version?

None of the solutions given in this thread fix this issue on my HP Elitebook 2570p, which has ACPI/HP6000, but not ACPI/HP6007. Does anyone know if there is any other way to make it work or if HP is going to release a new driver or patch for this driver?

The windows update catalog fix worked for ftetu and his 2570p and also my 8470w (same gen and HP6000).  Might want to check it out.
