HP Notebook - 15-bs080wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Orbit quit communicating with my cell phone so I deleted it from both devices. Based on the final item on the install HP Orbit page, I have followed all directions. However, when i attempt to connect with my phone, the HP Orbit on my laptop tells me that I have uninstalled HP Support Assistant. I have not uninstalled it. In fact, I came to this help forum via a direct link from my HPSA.

Since I keep getting that message on my notebook computer, I have gone ahead and followed the link and reinstalled HPSA. Of course, that did not help because it was not the issue. Yet, I still cannot connect HP Orbit as it was in the beginning.

According to HPSA, my computer is HP Notebook - 15-bs080wm.

My cell phone is a Samsung Galaxy J7, model SM-J700T, running Android version 7.1.1

Assistance, please.

Thank you,

Jennifer

You're very welcome.

In your screenshot, the HP support solutions framework is the HP software framework.

I guess that is what they call it now.

I have the HPSA on this PC for years, so it must have an old version of the HP software framework.

Hi, Jennifer:

What I would try is to also uninstall the HP support solutions framework program in the windows control panel, restart the PC, and then reinstall the HPSA from the link below, click on the orange download button on the upper right side of the page.

https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html

The HPSA download should reinstall both the support solutions framework program and the HPSA.

Then try reinstalling the HP orbit app.

Thank you, Paul.

However, I cannot find "HP support solutions" or "HP support solutions framework" in the "Uninstall or change a program" window. I've attached a screenshot so that you can see what I can.

I suspect I have misunderstood. Your assistance is appreciated.

Thanks.

Hmmm..... I just went to the HPSA support page at https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03601631#AbT7 and notice a screenshot of the uninstall screen that shows the HPSA in the window that I am not seeing it in. I suspect I need to go to my support service and have them address this.

Thanks!

Jennifer
