Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Pavilion m6 1045dx Entertainment will not recognize Duracell replacement battery from Batteries Plus.  Took battery back to store to have it tested.  It tested good, put it back in laptop, but laptop either doesn't recognize the Duracell battery or shows there is no battery in laptop.  Laptop can still recognize original battery that came with it, but it's almost dead.    Details on Duracell Battery

Duracell Ultra COM12729A  11.1V  5200mAh   57.7Wh  Li-lon

2019 Duracell Bethel, CT

Should this battery work with my Pavilion?

Your machine use HP battery part # 671731-001. It can communicate with charger and computer. Duracell battery may "talk" to your computer a different way therefore your computer won't accept it. You have to buy the right part which is fully compatible with your machine. One source

So I think I understand.  Duracell battery can't communicate with my notebook.  If I buy HP MO06 battery it will communicate with my laptop.  Is that correct
