It seems the version of the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI Tool on laptop is out of date. How do I update it?

Thank you Tk, I found it eventually. It was under "Computer will not boot" - which was not my problem!!

I find the HP website VERY unfriendlly and EXTREMELY difficult to navigate!!

Trying same thing a few times to install 10.8.4.0 ser pack 167305,

It lists it in the SWset but when I go to the ios to check for it I am greeted by the same black & white old 2.3 version.

I have a EFI partiion & have been trying to troubleshoot.

I figure it might not be overwriting the old one & there may be ways to uninstall the old one

so the new will install but I don't want to mess with partitions.

Just would be nice if the new one would update the old one.

I'm running win 11 25H2.

I was able to install the new one on another laptop but my 17G6 still stubbornly is holding on to the ancient 2.3 black & white version which is really useless if you have used the new one which is so much better.
