Hello hp community. I need F.29 BIOS for my DV6-3104ST. It sometimes does not boot and gives 2 times blink on caps lock.

Hi:

 

Here are the info and exe file links to BIOS version F.29:

 

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55299.html 

 

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55299.exe 

 

You will only be able to run the exe file in Windows.

 

It will not allow you to create a BIOS USB recovery drive.

As I posted earlier, you cannot use the file to create a USB recovery drive.

 

The BIOS files for the dv6-3xxx notebooks can only be run in Windows on a working PC.

 

I ran the file on my Dell PC, it unpacked and indicated it could not update the BIOS.

 

it gave me no other options but to close out of the error window.
