i have a HP Pavilion dv6-3150us Entertainment Notebook.  I noticed that the red light is on for the mute volume, but i can hear everything just fine, that is  until I plug in my headphones, any headphone when I'm listening to CBS.COM.  I press it and it and will go mute and the light still stays red, but press it again and i hear everything just fine, but without the headphones.  I have tried everything, iincluding taking everything off the laptop and taking the battery out, etc.  I have also had intermitten problems with the fingerprint scan.  I have had some problems since I updated to Windows 8.1, but the one with the no hearing through the headphones, when listening to CBS.COM.  I don't have this problem with anything else (tablet, phone, Google Chromebook).

Thanks Much..  Very Much.

HP would benefit if it would add this to their documents for the Pavilion dv6 computers, or at the very least make an addendum package.  thanks again.
