I bought the HP Pen recently and tried to install the HP Pen Control app. However, the Microsoft Store tells me that the app is not compatible and asks for a redeem code. As far as I looked, my laptop should be compatible with the HP Pen? Also, the pen isn't pressure sensitive, but I assumed that the app would solve that.
Is there something I can do or should I just return the pen?

Yes, HP Pen is marked as compatible with this model / series.
Accessories | 1MR94AA | HP Pen P.N. 910942-001 |
Accessories | 3J122AA | HP Rechargeable MPP 2.0 Tilt Pen (Black) |
Accessories | 3J123AA | HP Rechargeable MPP 2.0 Tilt Pen (Silver) |
HP Pen Control Application
- HP Pen Control software provides several different functions, and allows users to change the functions of the two barrel buttons on the HP Pen. This package is provided for supported computer models running a supported operating system. Reminder: Pen Control is not compatible with Tilt Pen
- Document: HP Notebook PCs - Configuring the HP Pen Using HP Pen Control Software (Windows 10)
And...
From the Maintenance manual - Compatible pen = Zenovo

Pen (Zenvo pen with cable):
In natural silver finish L95614-001
In nightfall black finish L95615-001
What to do?
Not sure.
If the documentation can be believed (likely),
It does appear the pen should be compatible - and that means the HP Pen application should be compatible with the HP Pen.

Thanks, turns out I was trying the pen in a wrongly configured program, so the actual problem was just me not testing the pen enough. The problem with the Pen Control app remains but I realised I don't really need it anyway. Thanks for the help
