It would be nice if we could use the Programmable Keys to execute basic functions like media controls, specifically play/pause. If somebody knows how to do this currently, please enlighten me.

In the meantime, the workaround I'm using is setting the key to my primary media app (Pandora), so that when the app is running in the background it is brought to the front where I can simply hit spacebar to pause it. It's not as simple as a single key press, but definitely simpler than the other conventional alternatives.

Bonus: You can use the Shift, Ctrl, and Alt modifiers to do the same for other media apps. Unfortunately, this adds an additional key press, and it means you have to use a distinct media app (not in browser) for it to work.
