Pavilion Gaming notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

i have the HP support assistant icon placed in my notification area on my screen, but recently the yellow triangle with a exclamation mark (which means 'recommended action needed) has appeared but when opening 'support assistant' there is no 'action' to be taken, i do have some updates that have this yellow triangle by it but it also states that they were all installed with the date they were installed any ideas why this is and is there any way to remove this 'yellow triangle' that is places over the 'blue qestion mark' in my 'notification area' thanks...undefined

Hey @andy-g,

I see that you are having some issues with the Support Assistant on your Pavilion Gaming Notebook. I can help you with that, however I am going to need to know the model number of your notebook. Once I know that I will be better able to assist you.

How do i find the 'model' number I can find the product number and serial number......it does say on the box it came with HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ak085na.....and by the way there is no sticker on the laptop itself I can only see the product/serial numbers by opening the HP Support Assistant...

Thanks. This document outlines how to troubleshoot issues with Support Assistant. You can also perform any updates on your PC by running updates in the Device Manager

Please let me know if this resolves your issues. If it does, please click on Accept Solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. Both icons are below this post.

The only relevant 'troubleshooting' topic for my issue is the one called 'Exclamation mark on HP Support Assistant icon' the first steps in this topic explains there should be a yellow triangle in the 'my pc' page but as you can see from my previous screen shot there are no yellow triangles in the updates or messages section it then says if there is no yellow triangle go to 'step 6' which tells me to just click on 'messages' but there are no new messages there the only ones there are the ones i have allready read and it states this (that they have already been read).....i do not get an 'x' to delete them ....in the 'update' section (see first sreen shot) all the 'updates' says they have been installed but stangely some are greyed out and some are not but they all state they have been installed.....maybe i should re-install the HP Support Assistant..
