Lap top was donated to our thrift store and the start up screen is password protected. How do we by pass the password and reset the laptop clean so it can be sold.
Best Buy Geek Squad gave instructions to press and hold shift key and then click restart. I got up to the point where it's telling me it' needs additional free space is needed on the drive where Windows is installed. Since I don't have the password, how do I free up space on the drive?

In that case it is not permitted to post instructions about locked password, bios password, windows password cause security measures.
According to the Community's Rules of Participation:
4d. No posts shall include instructions or directions intended to bypass or subvert security measures, including passwords, locking mechanisms, fingerprint scans, etc., or to bypass any safety measures.
