Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Support Assistant stopped opening and I can not get it to operate again.  What must I do?

I  run the Free Windows 10 that Microsoft  gave 1 or 2 yrs ago.

I use Google Chrome as my browser.

Thank you for posting in the HP Support forum.

 

Let's reinstall HP Support Assistant - it might be corrupted.

 

1. Click on the Windows 10 Start button

2. Type/search for control.exe

Open Control Panel/control.exe

3. Go to Programs and features

4. Find HP Support Assistant , follow the steps to uninstall it

5. Find HP Support Framework, follow the steps to uninstall it

 

6. Click on the Start button and make sure you RESTART your computer

 

7. After successful restart, open this web page >> https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html

 

8. Click on the orange button at the top right and redownload HP Support Assistant.

 

9. Reinstall HP Support Assistant

 

Hopefully, it will eventually start. Let me know how it goes
