Hi @johnnylee45

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand the concern. Since the latest version of HP Support Assistant was downloaded and installed successfully, but the application remains on the loading screen with the spinning circle for an extended period, this could indicate an issue with the application services, cached data, or Windows components required by HP Support Assistant.

Please try the following steps:

Close HP Support Assistant completely.

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
  • End any HP Support Assistant, HP Support Solutions Framework, or HP-related background processes.

Restart the HP Support Assistant services.

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Locate HP Support Solutions Framework Service.
  • If it is running, right-click and select Restart.
  • If stopped, select Start.

Run HP Support Assistant as Administrator.

  • Select Start, search for HP Support Assistant.
  • Right-click it and choose Run as administrator.

Check Windows updates.

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update.
  • Install all available updates, including optional driver and .NET updates.
  • Restart the laptop after updates complete.

Perform a clean reinstall of HP Support Assistant.

  • Uninstall HP Support Assistant and HP Support Solutions Framework from Installed Apps.
  • Restart the computer.
  • Download and install the latest version again from HP's official support page.
  • Restart once more after installation.

Verify system date and time.

  • Go to Settings > Time & Language > Date & Time.
  • Ensure Set time automatically and Set time zone automatically are enabled.

If HP Support Assistant still does not load, use the HP App temporarily to check for driver, BIOS, and support updates while continuing troubleshooting.

After completing these steps, please let us know:

  • Does HP Support Assistant open to a blank screen, continue spinning indefinitely, or display an error message?
  • What is the current Windows 11 version (Settings > System > About)?

This information will help us determine the next troubleshooting steps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
