HP Support Assistant driver updates for Realtek USB & PCIe Media card driver

Hi,

Hp Support assistant is stucked at infinite loop for driver updates.

There are two driver versions (10.0.320.170 sp84713) and (10.0.370.148 sp79524)

HP Support assistant shows the other version in available updates whenever either of them is installed.

Kindly advise on how to fix this issue. Which one them needs to be kept installed?

If it can be fixed, the HPSA may respond to the following:

Control Panel > icon view > Programs and Features >

Scroll down, find, Uninstall the HP Support Assistant

After the uninstall is completed, Restart the computer and log in

Important NOTE:

When / If asked whether you want to save any of the presets / personal HPSA information, respond to have any (personal) data associated with the program removed along with the HPSA software.

• If you have ‘Admin’ control, you may highlight the package and “double-click” to install it, else Right-Click, select run as Administrator and install.

• After the software is installed:  Restart the computer and log in

Hi,

I do prefer HP Softpaq Download Manager and it has greater reliability and much imporved speed in terms of download and installation. However, recently I have started facing issues in it.

It takes lot of time to start and then shows error that its unable to reach the ftp server.

Someone in the forum did mention to append the shortcut URL with forceHTTP flag but it did not help.

I will try uninstalling SDM and reinstalling it. Unfortunately HSPA reinstallation did not help.

Kindly let me know if there's solution to SDM also.
