Solved!

HP Support Assistant will not delete my messages --- they keep on reappearing

HP Recommended
HP Spectre
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Support Assistant indicates with an exclamation mark that i have messages.   I have read and deleted those messages many times --- but they keep on reappearing.   I believe i have the latest version of the support assistant on my computer.

I do not see the HP Support Assistant in my program files -- it seems to be hidden.

You might have the Application version of the HP Support Assistant installed.

This version is available on selected (newer) HP computers / devices.

If this is the case,

HPSA will not be listed in Programs and Features.

Instead, for the "App" version,

If the application is installed,

(You will) Find the HPSA application in

Settings > Apps > Apps and Features

What else?

How to open and delete messages in HPSA

Open HP Support Assistant

Make sure you are signed into the application.

Open the "Envelope" in the left column to see your messages.

Click on a message to view it.

and / or

In the far right column of the list,

Click on the X and confirm that you want to delete the message.

In general, this should be enough to keep a particular message from reappearing.

What if?

Not working?

Try / Consider

You can uninstall the HP Support Assistant application

Open Settings > Apps > Apps and Features
