HP Sure Click has never worked on this Workstation.
Current status of HP Sure Click (rough translation from French, wording may vary):
"Not executed (maintenance). HP Sure Click requires updates to manage currently installed version of Windows."
If I try to initialize, I get the same message in the form of an HP Notification.
I got this workstation three weeks ago. The image it came with was Windows 10 1803. I updated everything: Windows as well as HP products (through HP Support Assistant).
Workstation: ZBook 14u G5 ([Personal Information Removed])
Current Windows version: Windows 10 Professional (64-bit) 2004 (OS version 19041.264)
Current Sure Click version: 4.1.9.1290 (with Installed assistance packs: Chrome 4.1.9.1286 and Ms Office 4.1.7.1247)
The ZBook has been on and connected to the Internet for hours on end over the last week.
This issue seems similar to these posts (but the solutions don't apply to my case):

I wish to point out that, as of this morning, HP Sure Click automatically updated and now seems functional. This would solve the current issue.
As a first time user of this software (which was instrumental in my choosing to buy this workstation) and in view of various details I glossed over in my OP (involving having to restore the original image on the drive!), I really wish that the Sure Click team took the time, on the product's page, to indicate that updates are in the pipeline.
You would think that such critical Sure Click updates would be available no later than the official release date of the major OS update. That said, this year's exceptional circumstances go a long way toward explaining the wacky schedule. Keeping the users posted though, would still be a nice touch!
