HP Windows Mixed Reality Headset VR1000-100
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I recently purchased an HP Windows Mixed Reality Headset VR1000-100. The seller I bought it from stated that they had tested it and it connected just fine before shipping it.

Upon receiving it and attempting to hook it up to my Laptop, there's initially no response. After a few seconds within my device manager, "Unknown USB Device (Link in Compliance Mode)" appears. After this appears and disappears a couple of times, it then stays in Device Manager under my USB Controllers section. The Device's status is listed as such: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

The SuperSpeed link to the USB device keeps going to an error state Compliance. If the device is removable, remove the device and then disable/enable from device manager to recover."

Under Hardware Ids in the Details tab, the one and only Value listed is "USB\PORT_LINK_COMPLIANCE_MODE"

I've tried all solutions I've seen suggested for the Error Code 43 issue. I'm completely up-to-date on my drivers, including BIOS. I've attempted disabling/reenabling the device, uninstalling the device, uninstalling all USB devices and reinstalling, and making sure that the connector is in a USB 3.0 port, but nothing seems to work. I should also point out that I've tried plugging in the headset into 3 separate Laptops. Two didn't meet the Hardware Check requirements for Mixed Reality, however, the third passed, so it should have no problem.

I just want to reemphasize the fact that this issue is regarding my HP VR1000-100 upon plugging in the USB 3.0 connector.

Any recommended solutions are appreciated. Thank you.
