Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I Had a new Hard Drive Installed 3 days ago. Now all of a sudden, when I am changing between doing different things, like writing a document and saving it, as one example, I get the popup that says "Welcome to your new HP you're all set". I click "done" and it goes away, only to reappear some time later. How to get rid of this ?

Hi:

Go to the Windows Control Panel, and in the top right, next to View by:  select 'Large Icons'.

From the new layout, select Programs and Features and let the list populate.

Find the HP Welcome program listed here, right click the entry, and select Uninstall.

That appears to have worked. Thank you for solution. Easier way to get to uninstall is to type the word programs into contana and "Programs and Features" is right there.

You're very welcome.

Thanks for the shortcut to the Programs and Features menu.

Did you "click" on the program to be uninstalled, and then click "uninstall" ?

Was there a pop-up window asking you to either "repair" or "uninstall", or to "confirm" that you want to uninstall.

After rebooting your computer, did the "welcome" window still appear?

@kdssr:

After you click "Reply", you should see (over on the right of the window):

Remove that "check-mark" to opt-out of receiving messages.

Thanks it works now, the pop up went away. I forgot I had to reboot the laptop to save the settings.
