I have an HP ZBook Fury G8 15 Workstation running Windows 11. Following a clean OS installation, I have lost all functionality of the Pointing Stick (Trackpoint) and its three physical buttons. Simultaneously, the Realtek PCIe Card Reader shows a yellow exclamation mark in Device Manager and will not initialize.

Current Issues:

BIOS Level: The "Pointing Stick" option has disappeared entirely from the Advanced > Built-In Device Options menu. It is not even listed to be toggled on/off.

Device Manager: The Realtek PCIe Card Reader has a warning icon. Attempting to update the driver results in: "Windows encountered a problem installing the drivers for your device." code 18

Fingerprint Sensor: I cannot find any Biometric devices in BIOS or Device Manager. I need to verify if this unit has the hardware or just a blank filler.

What I have already done:

Installed all drivers via HP Support Assistant and Intel Support Center.

Installed latest NVIDIA drivers and all Windows Optional Updates.

Performed a BIOS Factory Reset and a hard power drain (holding power button for 30s while unplugged).

Tried manual driver updates via Device Manager; none were accepted.

Since the hardware is missing at the BIOS level, standard driver updates are not resolving the issue. Is there a specific firmware or serial I/O patch required to re-initialize these components?
