Hey there! @Garciabox, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!
I understand after updating the windows to 1709 Cyberlink power director has stopped working.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any hardware or software changes on your PC?
Did the Cyberlink power director software came preinstalled with your PC or did you download the software?
As you mentioned after updating the windows to 1709 Cyberlink power director has stopped working.
Try the steps recommended below.
Uninstall the CyberLink software from control panel programs on your PC.
And install the Cyberlink power direct software using this link.
Also, you can install CyberLink software using HP recovery manager.
Refer this article to know how to restore drivers using HP recovery manager.

I have followed your steps and the link you provided (sp77573.exe) is as same as my notebook model official download page. The problem is after I clicked the setup program, it just disappear and doesn't prompt the wizard to continous installation operation. My Windows is just upgraded to Windows 10 1709.

@Garciabox, Thanks for your quick response and time.
I appriciate your efforts for writing back to us.
I did some research and found it is an issue with the CyberLink software.
There are few people who are facing similar issues after updating to 1709.
I would recommend you to contact Cyberlink support for more assistance.
Contact Cyberlink support using this link.

It looks like you were interacting with @A4Apollo, but he is out for the day & I'll be glad to help you out,
I'm the Riddle_Decipher & I'm at your service.
I reviewed your concern and the entire conversation, did some research and here's what I recommend:
Let's start with installing all available updates from both windows and HP to ensure the device is up to date, because often, there are patches released to resolve such issues and an update is all it takes.
If the issue persists, I recommend you update the video card & your BIOS both using the HP website,
And then install the patch from the Cyber link website termed as "Updates PowerDirector 14 to build 4207" -
Keep me posted,
If the information I've provided was helpful,
give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,
that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
Good Luck.

@Garciabox, Thanks for your quick response and time.
I appriciate your efforts for trying out the steps.
Since Cyberlink is not an HP software we have limited support for this product.
And since it was a bundled software application shipped with your PC it was designed only to work on windows 8.
I have found Windows 10 Compatibility of CyberLink Products you can check the compatible version for Windows 10 and download the software accordingly.
Refer this link from Cyberlink to know more information.
Have a great day ahead!
Take Care! 🙂

It's a good answer on my issued. My notebook 15-bc010nr was shipped with pre-installed Windows 10 and not Windows 8. As you said, the Cyberlink Director 14 is just compatible with Windows 8 and may have problem on Windows 10. Why not my pre-installed Windows 10 notebook bundled with PowerDirect 15 instead of 14?
Anyway, let me study your link provided on Cyberlink and give out the result tonight.

The same issued is occurred. I have already uninstalled the existing PowerDirect 14, and now cannot reinstall it again. Your provided Cyberlink troubleshooter software will scan the whole harddrive that any "EXISTING" Cyberlink on Windows. Thus, the software reports that there isn't any Cyberlink software. What can I do?
