I've found several threads that ask this or related questions, but none with a clear answer - How do you manage  devices listed on your HP account?

I've found three HP sites that seem inter-related but do not apparently share data:

https://account.hp.com/us/en/devices

https://support.hp.com/us-en/dashboard

https://portal.hpsmart.com/us/en/

The account.hp.com page lists pretty much every HP device I've ever accessed over the years (e.g. my late father's printer that has not been around for over ten years), but no apparent means of editing the list.

If you click on any device on this page, then "View status", it takes you to the support.hp.com site, which does provide an editable list. If you click on "Printer overview" it takes you to portal.hpsmart.com, which in my case lists only one printer (though I have five on support.hp.com that I regularly use, including with HP Smart).

Any suggestions whether there is any way to rationalize this data?

Hi @stephengibb,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I completely understand how it can feel when your HP devices appear differently across the various HP portals. Thank you for sharing the details  it really helps us see the bigger picture.

Could you please provide the model numbers of the devices you’re currently using and would like to manage? Also, let me know if you’re signing in with the same HP ID across all three sites.

Here are a few steps you can try in the meantime:

Check HP Account Devices: On https://account.hp.com/  , try signing out and back in, then see if the list refreshes. Sometimes cached data keeps older devices visible.

Update Support Dashboard: On  https://support.hp.com/ , you can manually remove or add devices. This list is usually the most accurate for ongoing support.

Sync HP Smart Portal: On  https://portal.hpsmart.com/ , ensure your printer is connected via HP Smart app with the same HP ID. If not, re-add the printer through the app to sync it.

Clear Browser Cache: Sometimes old device data persists because of cached sessions. Clearing cookies/cache or trying a different browser can help.

Remove Devices via HP Smart App: If you still see outdated printers, try removing them directly from the HP Smart app  this often updates the portal list.

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
