HP Envy x360 14 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-fa-0000 (8Z8P7AV)

On MyHP app, there are icons for Smart Sense, Cool, Quiet, etc. When I click on an icon, like Smart Sense, nothing appears to me to view it's features.

Hi @Ronkane,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing issues with the MyHP app on your HP Envy x360 14-inch 2-in-1 laptop, specifically with the features like Smart Sense, Cool, Quiet, etc. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue.

Update the MyHP App

Ensure that you have the latest version of the MyHP app installed. Sometimes, features may not work correctly if the app is outdated.

  • Open the Microsoft Store.
  • Go to "Library" (usually at the bottom left).
  • Click on "Get updates" to update all apps, including MyHP.

Update Your Drivers and BIOS

Make sure your laptop’s drivers and BIOS are up to date.

  • Go to the HP Support website.
  • Enter your laptop’s model number.
  • Download and install the latest BIOS and drivers.

Check for Windows Updates

Ensure your Windows operating system is fully updated.

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Click on "Check for updates."

Reinstall the MyHP App

Sometimes, reinstalling the app can resolve issues.

  • Uninstall the MyHP app.
  • Restart your laptop.
  • Reinstall the MyHP app from the Microsoft Store.

Clear Cache and Data of MyHP App

Clearing the app’s cache and data might resolve the issue.

  • Go to Settings > Apps.
  • Find MyHP in the list.
  • Click on "Advanced options."
  • Click on "Reset."

Check HP Support Assistant

The HP Support Assistant can sometimes provide additional troubleshooting options.

  • Open HP Support Assistant.
  • Go to "Updates and tune-ups."
  • Check for updates and apply any available.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue with the MyHP app and access the features like Smart Sense, Cool, Quiet, etc.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi Alden4,

The MyHP app is not available in Microsoft store.

In case I misunderstood the feature of MyHp 'Performance Control', when I click on an icon under 'System Control', is it just to select whether I want the laptop performance to be based on 'smart sense', 'balanced', 'cool', 'quiet', 'performance' or 'power saver'.

Or by clicking on 1 of the icons, it will display options for me to select under that icon.
