I obtained an older laptop from a relative. I tried to check on an updated BIOS and drivers etc., but the HP site does not recognize any of the above mentioned ID numbers. I have these numbers from under the battery, or, on the system information in the Firmware, or, the sticker on the palmrest, or Windows 7 System Information. Can you direct me to the correct page to check on possible updates?
HP G62 Notebook PC:
Model # G62-143CL
Serial # <Do not include the product serial number or any private information>
Product # WA906UA#ABA
Product Configuration ID # 049D100000202710000020000
BIOS version F.07 (10 February 2010)
Thank you in advance for any assistance!

Hello Paul,
Your link worked perfectly. I am surprised that I could not get to the page, and am grateful you did so in such a timely manner. I have a screenshot of the failed attempt to use the serial # to get there. Thank you again.

You're very welcome.
HP retires support for all consumer class PCs that have reached 10 years of age.
That's why no info shows up when you go through the support site
I did a general internet search by the model number and found the support page that way.
Fortunately, that page seems to have escaped HP removing it from the support site entirely.
