i guess i will try that or would just try doing something after new fresh install (like maybe not using auto-detect, and just using serial number to avoid installing support solutions altogether), if those doesnt help, i will probably just ditch support assistant

You likely do not even need HPSA now that your system is older.

 

There are fewer and fewer updates for any system as time goes on.

It is enough for many of us to just keep an eye on the Software and Drivers category.

 

Just open "All Drivers" in Software and Drivers to peruse the list on occasion.

Not sure?  Use your Device Manager to tell you about what is installed.

 

Looks like there is a BIOS update from May 2021.

Please do install that fussy update manually  - that is, don't use the HPSA to install it.

Always (and only) update the BIOS while connected to AC power.

Consider:

 

Find bulletins / Notices that are relevant to your device

  • Subscribe to HP Alerts

Get connected with updates from HP

and / or

  • Check for information at your computer's support website

Open Category Bulletins and Notices (wording may vary)
