Product: HP protect smart

My laptop turns on but the screen is blank, I found a way to boot to the test system and came up with an Error: Hard Drive 1. failure ID M47K9-7JFA73-MFPWL1-60VG03. I tried the start hit esc and reset but it only kept circling with the HP logo then went blank. Please help. Thanks in advance

Hi:

 

The code translates to one word...Failed.

 

99% of the time you get one of those 24 character failure ID codes, you will need to install a new hard drive and reinstall the operating system.

 

Consult the service manual for your specific model notebook for the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

ok thank you so much, now how do i find out which hard drive i need to replace. ie...amazon?

Before I can give you some suggestions, I would need to know the full model number or product number of your notebook.

 

Use this guide to find that information...please do not post the serial number.
