Help! I can't put my laptop back cover back on

I took the back cover apart to clean my fan. All went well until I tried putting the back cover back on. I can't get the cover on because something is not right on the right side where the fan is. It is causing the lid not to snap down. What am I doing wrong? How do i get the part in the image corrected? I don't know how to get it flat so my back cover can snap back in.
