Notebook model 15 ay 126 nd

Hi,

I'm not sure i am in the right section for this question.

On the right half of the screen of my HP notebook, I see only  vertical lines.

After several minutes, up to half an hour, the screen turns back to normal spontaniously.

Switching te notebook off and on doesn't help.

Windows is updated.

Can somebody please give me some advice? Thank you!

Johan, in Belgium

Just found the invoice: it's an Acer Aspire E5-571-58E6. Bought it in 2014. It's a very old notebook, off course, but it worked perfectly .

Hi,

It is most likely a Display panel failure which you would need to replace.

On page 77 of the service manual you can see the various compatible Led Panels with part numbers.

You need the non-touch ones. You could even upgrade to an FHD screen.

You can perform an online search with part number to find a compatible screen.

Hope it helps,

David

Hi,

My reply was for the model mentioned in your first post.

Anyway basically you will need to replace the screen.

Hope it helps,
