Hi

I'm running into an issue on our EliteBook x360 1030 G2.  I assume this will be true on other models as well.  Just looking for thoughts short of having to redeploy it after the upgrade is complete.

Thanks!

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to try a newer version of the HP Hotkey Support software...

i recommend using a run-once install via GPO to accomplish this. set up a script to auto-elevate to admin privileges and then in that script should uninstall the old one, suppress reboot and then reinstall. chaining deployments / reboots saves a ton of time. only allow reboot after all actions complete. 🙂 this should complete before logon, so that the user is not having to deal with the installer being in their face.

Thanks for your thoughts! I'm thinking a reinstall will be required once completed.  I really which these worked just like a normal device where you could import an inf file and also that it would still function after OS upgrades. 😞
