How can I tell how old the used laptop i just bought is?

Hi:

 

You can check the 4th, 5th and 6th characters of the serial number, which will always be numbers.

 

The 4th is the year of manufacture, and the 5th and 6th, the calendar week of manufacture.

 

For example if the 4th, 5th, and 6th characters of the S/N are 123, the PC was made in 2011 in the 23rd week of the year (June).
