How do I transfer things from my C drive to my External drive, and how do I get updates to download to my E drive? Please, an answer to either question would be greatly appreciated so I can help my son but I need to free up space by transferring but I don't know how

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
You have the option to use a USB drive or external hard drive, or CD/DVD Drive to transfer files. Make sure that there is enough space on the drive to complete the transfer. This will avoid repeating transfers.
- Simply connect your USB hard drive directly to your laptop.
- Click windows start button and type This PC and you will be able to see your system drives and folders.
- Select your files or data to initiate the copy/move to external hard drive.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
